VTDK is preparing for Vilnius' birthday: students will create winter coziness

The Vilnius birthday starts on Friday, during which the "Festival of Light" will delight Vilnius residents and guests for three weekend evenings. The event, which is beeing organized for the second time, attracts participants from various countries, and among them Vilnius College of Technologies and Design (VTDK) will greet the capital with its created lights.

The Vilnius "Festival of Lights" will start on the evening of January 24, at 6 pm. This winter entertainment is welcome and enticing to admire the old town decorated with light installations. In order to create an indelible impression on Vilnius residents and guests, exhibited projects are born not only in Lithuania but also in other countries.

One international project will delight those who will visit Latako Street, where "Warm Light" will shine. Luminaires made of wool are the work of students and lecturers  from VTDK and The Camondo school. According to Veronika Žvirbė, the head of the Department of Design, the creative workshop became a great opportunity for the 20 French to reveal the subtleties of the old Lithuanian craft and create a radiant image.
